PDL.Bike Privacy Policy
Version 1.0, 14 October 2026
1. Who we are
PDL.Bike is operated by Cycle the Net Pty Ltd (ABN 68 653 192 619), Suite 43, 97 Jones St, Ultimo NSW 2007 ("we", "us"). We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
2. What we collect
When you order: your name, email, phone, billing and delivery addresses, and what you bought. Card and PayPal payments are processed by PayPal, and some payments we take directly (for example by phone or invoice) are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
When you contact us (contact form, email, phone or chat): your name, contact details and what you tell us. You can ask us a general question without giving your name, where that's practical.
When you use our website: technical information such as your device, browser, the pages you visit and how you use them. We use cookies and similar tools for this: Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) to measure visits, Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use our pages, Klaviyo and HubSpot for email and website tracking, PayPal for checkout, and our ecommerce platform's own tools. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work properly without them.
Marketing: only if you ask to receive our news and offers.
We don't ask for government ID, and we don't collect sensitive information.
3. Why we use it
To process and deliver your order, provide support, handle returns and warranty claims, reply to your enquiries, send marketing you've agreed to, prevent fraud, meet our legal obligations, and improve our website and service.
4. Marketing
We send marketing only if you've opted in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and if you unsubscribe or tell us you don't want marketing, that decision always wins. Asking us a question or placing an order does not sign you up.
5. Who we share it with
Only with the service providers who help us run PDL.Bike, and only what they need: our ecommerce and inventory platforms (currently Maropost/Neto and Shopify), payment providers (PayPal and Stripe), our analytics and email tools (Google, Microsoft, Klaviyo, HubSpot), couriers and freight companies, our email and cloud hosting providers (including Google), and professional advisers. We don't sell your personal information.
6. Overseas
Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information in line with Australian privacy law.
7. Keeping it safe and how long we keep it
We store your information securely and limit access to staff who need it. We keep order records for as long as the law requires (generally seven years for tax), and delete or de-identify other information when we no longer need it. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll tell you and the OAIC, as the law requires.
8. Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
9. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, email us and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
