HollowGlide Construction

Shimano's HollowGlide forging process creates a crankset that's stiffer and lighter than the previous generation. The hollow crank arms eliminate dead weight without compromising the torsional rigidity that converts pedalling power directly into speed.

Hyperglide+ Chain Interface

The asymmetric 110mm BCD chainrings feature Shimano's Hyperglide+ tooth profiling — the same system developed for their 12-speed MTB groupsets. Front shifts are faster, quieter, and work even under load, which matters when you're accelerating out of a corner.

Di2 & Mechanical Ready

The FC-R9200 crankset is fully compatible with both Dura-Ace Di2 (R9250) electronic and Dura-Ace mechanical (R9200) front derailleurs. One crankset works across both drivetrain configurations — no re-purchasing if you upgrade to Di2 later.

Seven Arm Lengths

Available from 160mm through to 177.5mm — a broader range than most competitors offer. The 160mm and 165mm options suit smaller riders, triathletes seeking a higher cadence position, or anyone with hip or knee restrictions that benefit from a shorter lever.

Three Gearing Configurations

Choose 50-34T compact for climbing and endurance riding, 52-36T semi-compact for the best balance of range and speed, or 54-40T standard for criteriums, time trials, and flat racing where you need the top-end ratio. All use the same 110mm asymmetric BCD spider.

Integrated Spindle Interface

The Hollowtech II spindle interface gives a wide bearing stance for lateral stiffness, with the left arm locking securely to the outboard bearing. Works with SM-BB72-41B (PressFit) or SM-BBR60/BB-R9100 (threaded) bottom brackets — sold separately.
