The EVOC Handlebar Pack BOA WP 5L uses the patented BOA® Fit System — the same cable-and-dial technology used in high-performance footwear — to secure a 5L waterproof bag to your handlebar in seconds with zero-play tension. No straps to thread, no buckles to clip, no bundle of velcro to flap loose mid-ride. Turn the dial to tension, click to release. The bag stays locked against the bars even on rough MTB terrain and high-speed descents. Volume adapts via roll-in ends: under-packed, roll more; loaded up, unroll to full 5L. Dual-side access, an exterior elastic cord for oversized items, and proper WP construction (welded seams) make this the most capable 5L handlebar bag available.
BOA® is not just a closure system — it's a fitment system. Standard velcro handlebar bags loosen progressively as vibration works the straps loose. The BOA dial maintains constant, even tension across the full mounting area regardless of terrain. The dial also lets you micro-adjust tension with one hand while rolling — tighten before a rough descent, loosen to swap items at the top. No bag with velcro straps offers this.
What makes it work
BOA® Fit System — mount and release in seconds
The patented BOA dial tensions a stainless-steel lace across the handlebar. Mount: position the bag and turn the dial. Release: click the dial and pull. Holds perfectly even on rocky descents — no progressive loosening from vibration.
Adaptable volume via roll-in ends
Not every ride needs 5L. Roll the ends in when running a lighter load and the bag compresses down; unroll to full volume for loaded bikepacking days. Ventilation orifices let you push air out for even tighter compression.
Quick access on both sides
Two access points — one on each end — mean you can reach in from the left or right without repositioning. Grab a gel or multi-tool from whichever side is convenient. Useful when you have aero bars or bar extensions blocking one side.
Elastic exterior cord for overflow kit
Elastic cords on the outside of the bag let you strap a packable jacket, arm warmers, or a bulky item to the exterior without opening the main compartment. Particularly useful at the start of a ride when you're likely to shed layers early.
Welded seams — properly waterproof
Every seam is thermally bonded. Combined with the waterproof shell material, rain and mud simply cannot get in. There are no stitch holes for water to wick through — the construction is genuinely waterproof, not just treated.
Fits all handlebar types — cables stay clear
Designed to fit road drops, MTB flat bars, and gravel flare bars without blocking cable runs or interfering with brake and shift lever operation. Even when gripping the tops of road bars, the bag is out of the way.
What fits in 5L
For a loaded gravel day or multi-day bikepacking: sleeping bag liner or bivvy, full set of thermal base layers, a day's food, first-aid kit, and a packable jacket with room to spare. For day rides: a full change of clothes and everything needed for a self-supported century. The roll-in ends mean you never ride with a bag that feels half-empty — compress it down when you're running a lighter load.
