Every cut hose needs new fittings. SRAM's are smaller, stronger, and purpose-built for internal routing.
When you cut a SRAM hydraulic brake hose — for a new build, bar swap, or internal cable routing — the original fittings are done. The Stealthamajig Disc Brake Hose Kit is what goes back in. It contains a threaded hose barb and a compression fitting (olive) sized specifically for SRAM and Avid hydraulic hoses. The design is a step up from the traditional push-in barb: a threaded metal barb grips the hose from the inside, while the olive compresses around the outside for a dual-seal connection that won't creep loose under braking load.
The Stealthamajig difference. SRAM's fittings are smaller in diameter than previous-generation push-in barbs, making them the hardware of choice for internally routed hose runs through tight frame channels. Same mechanical performance — less material in the way.
What makes the Stealthamajig the right choice
Threaded barb, not push-in
The barb threads into the hose end using a T8 Torx wrench rather than simply pressing in. Threading creates a mechanical bond that resists pull-out under repeated brake actuation — more secure than legacy push-in designs.
Dual-seal connection
The threaded barb seals from the inside and the compression olive seals from the outside simultaneously. DOT fluid doesn't get a path to weep — critical for consistent lever feel and long bleed intervals.
Smaller profile for internal routing
The Stealthamajig diameter is intentionally narrower than SRAM's earlier fittings. On frames with tight internal routing channels — particularly at the lever entry point — the reduced diameter makes feeding the hose through significantly easier.
Stainless steel construction
Both the barb and the olive are stainless steel — corrosion-resistant in Australian humidity and road spray. DOT fluid is corrosive to most metals; stainless holds up without degrading the seal over time.
Backwards compatible with Avid
Works with the full range of SRAM hydraulic disc brakes and legacy Avid systems. One kit works across Elixir, XX, X0, Guide, Code, Level, Maven, DB, G2, and the full AXS hydraulic range.
Three pack sizes
Single kit for one brake hose. 5-pack for a full bike service or a new build. 50-pack for workshops doing volume — each unit priced significantly below retail, with T8 Torx wrench included in the 5-pack.

(11.5378.803._)
- Threaded barb design — threads into hose end with a T8 Torx wrench for a more secure connection than legacy push-in barbs
- Dual-seal connection — barb seals from inside, compression olive seals from outside simultaneously for leak-free performance
- Smaller diameter profile — narrower than previous SRAM fittings; fits tight internal routing channels more easily
- Stainless steel construction — corrosion-resistant under DOT fluid, Australian humidity, and road spray
- SRAM + Avid compatible — works across all SRAM AXS and non-AXS hydraulic disc brakes and legacy Avid systems
- Three pack sizes — single kit (Qty 1), 5-pack with T8 Torx wrench, or 50-pack for workshops
- Single-use fittings — compression olives must not be reused; fresh fittings guarantee a clean seal every time
- DOT 4 / DOT 5.1 systems only — not compatible with mineral oil brake systems
